Ludwig Bemelmans New York

'Madeline in New York' is opening on July 4th at the New York Historical Society. It is Madeline and more.  Ludwig Bemelmans was a prolific artist, creating sketches and paintings for books, restaurants, textiles. The show brings together a range of his work, and you can feel his delight in life.
This is a ghost map of where he lived, worked, ate, and drank in New York. Don't miss the wonderful murals at the Carlyle Hotel in Bemelmans Bar and you can still feel his spirit in Gramercy park.
