Book Cover Artist Margaret Armstrong at the New York Society Library

The New York Society Library has a lovely show up of the book covers of Margaret Neilson Armstrong. She lived at 58 West 10th Street, a charming brick home now the NYU Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House.  Notice the beautiful decorative leaded glass and wrought iron work on the stair rail, and the gate.
Both are worth a visit, along with the Church of the Ascension, on 5th and 10th St. There you can see some Mosaic's by her father, D. Maitland Armstrong.
